HAIL TO THE POSSUM !
THE MIGHTY MIGHTY POSSUM ! :)

Thx Zwish , 16...g6 ? helped me develop my dark squared bishop to h6 gaining a tempo . But white's position is deceptively dangerous ..with black under pressure from the marauding kside pawns.

Things started to go downhill for me with your knight forking my queen and bishop. Strategically, I made the bad choice of trying to create counterplay on the queenside when in fact your kingside plan is faster.

I would like another swipe at this "Mighty" Possum.

I agree; I'm not keen on black's position at any point really after that. (Yes the computer can say -0.5 with 15...h6 all it likes, I don't agree with it!)

1.e4 e6 2.f3 d5 3.d3 c5 4.g3 Nf6 5.Bg2 Qb6 {not bad, but only if followed up properly} 6.Ne2 Nc6 7.0-0 Be7 [7... c4+ 8.Kh1 cxd3 opens lines on the side where Black is stronger. Meanwhile, White's natural attack with the f-pawn has suffered from the wasted move 2] 8.h3 0-0 9.Kh1 d4 {this doesn't work properly with ... Qb6. There was no need to release the central tension} 10.Nd2 Bd6 11.Nc4 Qc7 12.Nxd6 Qxd6 {even though this was the "bad" bishop, this still had a function of hindering White's P breaks} 13.f4 e5 14.f5 Bd7 15.g4 b5 {hard to believe that 15... h6 could be better for Black. At best, Black would try to batten down with...Nh7, but this is hardly putting White at a disadvantage} 16.Ng3 g6 {as usual, a P move on the side defending against a K-directed attack merely helps it} 17.Bh6 Rfc8 18.Qf3 gxf5 [18...
