Apparently Moulthun Ly shared a brilliancy prize in Gibraltar. Does anyone know which game this was for?

To answer my own question, it was the Mikhalevsky game (the drawn King's Gambit).

It's already been posted here but it deserves to go up in this thread as well:

24.Kf2 appears to win with perfect play; apart from that remarkably little was apparently missed, and the game is wonderfully entertaining.

i gather the prize of 1000 pounds was split evenly but i wonder what the distribution might have been had rating difference been taken into account and the prize split accordingly?

Is a game any more or less brilliant when you consider who has played it ?

Perhaps if your pet monkey banged it out it would be worth 2k ?

I think Moulthun deserves the credit simple for having the temerity to play the KG against a player rated 300 points above him.
