Often it is desirable to post something that other people can't see - at least not immediately. For example, if you are responding to a puzzle, you want other people to have a chance to solve it as well rather than have it spoiled for them.

This (http://guildwars.incgamers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5116043&postcount=8) is how another vBulletin board handles this, and I think this would be a great feature for this forum too.

Very good. I like it. I notice they're using vBulletin 3.6.3 while chesschat is a couple of versions prior. Do you know if the coding was specially written or is it standard with 3.6.3?

Or you could just type SPOILER BELOW IN WHITE as has been done with puzzle solutions and use the COLOR tag:

I bet you couldn't see this until you highlighted it!

Yeah Kevin, that's what we currently do. My suggestion is, in my opinion, a better way to achieve it.

Spoiler tags would certainly be less hassle but full upgrades of the board are a bit of a pain because of the effort needed for STML to recode the game viewer. If there's a lot of interest and he has the time and you ask him nicely who knows, he might code one?
