Hi Garvin. Problem. Apologies in advance.

2 things:
1) Sigma 6.1 (HIARCS 10) is currently playing this game. For reason I can't determine, it's depth is maxing out on 3 at the moment. I think this has been the case for quite a few moves now. I can't adjust it. Don't know what's going on.

2) Sigma 6.1 (HIARCS 11) was available for download when I went to the online help section. I have downloaded the program and tested the HIARCS 10 moves with HIARCS 11. The depth on 11 is back to where 10 was - about 10+ depth.

HIARCS 11 is seeing improvements for white in the game. It's not clear whether this is because of the newly improved engine, or because 10 was limited at some stage.

A clear case in point is move 14. HIARCS 11 wants to play 14.bxa5 as a significant improvement over the game.

I don't want to play on with HIARCS 10 in its current limited state. I have two suggestions:

1) HIARCS 10 resigns. I am happy with this.
2) We re-set the game to move 14 where HIARCS 11 plays 14.axb5

Entirely up to you. Apologies again for the difficulty. I am confident human error is not to blame for the situation.

Please advise.

Hello Howard,

How about we just scrub this game and start another from scratch? I am white for the next game.

That way you can use Hiarcs 11 from the start :). I dont have a problem with starting afresh.

OK. From scratch. May I leave it to you to set it up?
