Brian

I am not sure about MCC objectives. But I think most clubs charge a VISITORs fee; and that is the equivalent of a members discount is it not?
Or was your point that the discount should be higher?

Maybe his point was that the tournament info above didn't give any information with regard to where the tournament was being held? :hmm:

Its simple really.
You and bobby are talking about two entirely different tournaments.
Bobby1992 is from Victoria.
He is talking about a Victorian tournament.

You are referring to the advert on the NSWCA web site for a NSWCA event held in Sydney.

I think that was my original point. The first post failed to say where in the world this tournament was taking place!

Tournament is at

66 Leicester Street Fitzroy, Victoria
Located on the corner of Leicest and Fitzroy Street.

A list of Melbourne Tournaments is available here

http://home.vicnet.net.au/~chessmel/calendar2004.doc

Parking is notorious in Fitzroy, however parking is good in Queens Pde which is a 5 minute walk from the club and used ot be free (should still be)

The number 96 tram comes from St.Kilda up Bourke street and you get off at stop 16 on Nicholson Street

A link to the timetable for this tram is below

http://www.victrip.com.au/timetables/timetable_options.php?type=tram&id=MTM096

The number 112 tram comes from Collins street and comes past St.Vincent's for those coming from the east. You need to get off at stop 17 which is at a set of pedestrian lights in Brunswick Street and turn left up Leicester Street.

A link to the timetable for this tram is below

http://www.victrip.com.au/timetables/timetable_options.php?type=tram&id=MTM112

Hope you all have a good weekend and I hope there are plenty of new and returning faces at the improved MCC

Enjoy

AFAIK, Monday is not a public holiday in Victoria, and the MCC tournament will now be 5 rounds on Saturday and Sunday. I got this from my mate Tony Davis who was rung up by Malcolm Pyke.

Anyone got the full results of this?

I hear that the field was rather small due to the public holiday change.

So far this has not been submitted for rating. I suggest you MCC dudes need to get your act together.

I notice bobby1972, sometimes, and the Masters advertisement this morning had another author.

But limited sign of West Bromwich Albion and fg7.

If they were WINDOWS95-based then they are probably like me........Jeo's latest BB change has knocked our PCs out of BB- access and no ETA. :(
