Unlike Q-pawn, I have no illusions about my ability to beat Rybka. I won't bother if it enters.

so we play one round, then pair for second round and so forth. So you want the comp to take three years :P with 8 players

what are the rules ?

Garvinator

what are the rules ?
your not allowed to play, simple enough really :P

Seriously now, usually that is negotiated between the players and then I just enforced what was agreed on.

Generally it is something like:

No computer assistance
Stuff that is freely available is fine.

Everything else is agreed upon between the players.

what are the rules ?

rule n. Governing power or its possession or use; authority. The duration of such power. An authoritative, prescribed direction for conduct.
But that's not important, right now - and don't call me Shirley.

I'll sponsor the event.

No. Too late! Off to sponsor something else! :) Blame Garvin and the commercially inept Beaumont. He even cites his occupation as laughing at caitalism.

Must admit, while awful, that's slightly less emabarrssing than the essays he says he writes for a living. What a tosspot.

Bumping for the last time. If there are no further entries by the end of Sunday night, I will put up all the games and players can get started.

Admin/moderators, can we have a separate section, just like for the second cc tournament please?

if you can get more that would be good, but beware that the tournament is single or double round robin, dependant on numbers.

At the moment, DRR, but if you get more than 8, it will be SRR.

If you want the tournament hosted on the Ballarat CC webpage I have the authority to start events there. the time controls are a bit strange until you get used to them, 30 day time banks and extra day per move seems the most popular. But the site maintains a rating which can be fun. lemme know.
