This, thankfully only casual, game is probably one of the silliest things ever seen on a chessboard. Try evaluating the position after white's 19th, if you can look at it without being physically ill.

I don't know Kevin ;) . Be positive and think of it as creative underdevelopment. Any way what else can you expect if you play the "Monkey" (1.b4)?

I just love how the c-pawn which is the only thing left on the queenside actually becomes an effective defensive piece.

I have only played 1.b4 in a serious game once.

Actually, when I played in St Kilda Chess Club in Melbourne years ago one of our members always (almost literally) played 1.b4. Not only that but he played at lightning speed often using only about 10 minutes on his clock for the whole game. Not unnaturally he was almost Victorian Lightning Champion and anyway was an A grade Inter Club player. Later I think he gave up chess for bridge.
