Where can the public find the standings for the player divisions so far? And if not, has there been a report to the ACF on the progress of the series and results?

As far as SA goes, I am fairly sure the Queens Birthday and Labour Day weekenders were both category 1 tournaments. I will try and confirm this for you. I might also be able to get you the SP files for the Labour Day weekender if you need it.

Yes Bergil,

I have the open division almost completed. All I need to know is if I have missed any tournaments.

The others are coming in the next week :)

Attached is the spreadsheet with the points allocated for all 26 events in the 2005 Grand Prix.

As I did this fairly quickly over a total of 17 hours there may be some errors, so let know if you find any.

Hello Bill,

Thanks for your help :D

A couple of questions:

1) In all six divisions, you have allocated points for a QB weekend tournament and a Labour Day tournament for SA? I believe it is SA as SA players have received points for this two tournaments.

Is this a mistake or tournaments that I am unaware of?

2) Is Bunbury (WA) a gp tournament for 2005. I dont see it mentioned in any of your division point table?

If I am mis reading the table, please help me.

2) Is Bunbury (WA) a gp tournament for 2005. I dont see it mentioned in any of your division point table?I have no evidence that Bunbury was even held let alone was a GP event.

If I am mis reading the table, please help me.You are not misreading the table.

AKA the South West Open. You rated it in June.
http://www.chesswa.org.au/southwestopen.html

It is usually a GP event, but I don't know for sure whether it was this year. I must say I'm a bit surprised that the GP coordinator seems to be unsure of what is and isn't in the GP. Presumably somebody collected the fees?

I gathered that. It's just that I would have expected that there would be an established line of communication between the two.

Hey garvin.

Any news on the divisions?

you should have had them done by now. There has not been a gp event in several weeks. I imagine you have been compiling the results throughout the year?

I hope so. Especially when i had offered my assistance early in the year.

Hello Trent,

I am having no more involvement with the gp. Bill has done up the results which were displayed earlier in zip format in this thread.

The acf bulletin also says:

The 2005 Grand Prix points allocation for all 26 events in this year's Grand Prix can be seen in this spreadsheet. The ACF plans to issue cheques to the prize winners during the 2006 Australian Championship in Brisbane. If you have any queries regarding the points allocation in the spreadsheet please contact ACF Vice-President Bill Gletsos via email at 76702.3153@compuserve.com by 31st December 2005.

People mis-spell Moulthun almost as often as they mis-spell Belthasar!

Anyway, congrats to the winners, thanks to Bill and Garvin for the results.
