i click on calendar link (the knight) on the left hand side
of www.chessvictoria.com and i get web page similar to excel
defaulting to mar '05.

calendar goes to dec '05. now, that's not so bad.
(maybe if don't have excel installed you can't see those extra tabs???!) :eh:

sorry i was just talking about the home page, the page that most people would see and not go much further. Usually also the most important for simple advertising.

I was looking for information about the junior tournaments we are arguing over in the other thread. Cant find a link for those tournaments to get their advertising.

I think he should be able to see the tabs.

But a point that has been debated locally is that the calendar is a service to affiliated clubs. It would be relevant to know which organisation is promoting this particular event. I can't see many events in the calendar that are not promoted by an affiliated Club.

Perhaps we should not judge that Promoter = Venue Owner.

The Thread Initiator will have the detail.

you can rest assured i do not have the CV site listed in "my favorites".

even if i did there would be no need to tick "ask for automatic updates" .

wonder if anyone might drop a hint in the right ears that perhaps the site needs an image overhaul.

:hmm:

In my post (http://chesschat.org/showpost.php?p=62724&postcount=5) , and the part you quote, I stuggle to see what you are getting at.

The thread initiator = Lee. He should be able to advise on T&Cs of the tourney.
