Dear all,
I thought that I would place this here to let everyone know of the upcoming events for the remainder of the year at Melbourne Chess Club in 2005.
I hope that this will be somewhere where questions can be directed and hopefully will be able to answer them as requested.

Our next Monday night event/s are ratings limited events, the under 2000 and under 1600. I remember that many years ago the first event I played at Melbourne on a weeknight was the under 1600, and it was a nice way to start playing at Melbourne, as it avoided the large number of very much stronger players at that first outing. I consider also that events such as these give aspiring juniors the chance to bring home a tournament first rather than merely a category or rating prize.
any inquires can be directed to the club on 9416 3149 or Malcolm Pyke on 9789 9727.
Alternatively, should someone PM me, I will pass on the information to the relevant person,

take care all, and God bless,
Macavity

Didn't you say in your blog that the blog was for Sydney chess?

yeah, but there may be Sydney folks who like to travel interstate or OS. As I also said, it's about Oz chess but more about Sydney chess cos that's where I am.

From time to time, I might have nothing to talk about but world chess.
