I hope this means we can run Mac on x86. They might get Intel to create their own proprietary CPUs, hopefully not though.

They might get Intel to create their own proprietary CPUs, hopefully not though.Apple said that you will be able to run Windows on Macs with Intels inside but it[Windows]wont be supported. However they stated that you will only be able to run OS/X for Intel on Macs with Intels.

OK, Apple's are sexy machines. But what else can you use them for? Is pirated software available for them?

I'm not sure why you would want to go from a good performer at medium CPU clock speeds to a mediocre performer at very high clock speeds.

Even if you would want to do this, I would have thought AMD's chips were better performers and more cutting-edge at the moment but I guess I'm not Steve Jobs!

PS Evidently there is quite a good book out about SJ called "iCon". It has, however, been banned in all Apple Stores worldwide so it mustn't paint a very good picture of SJ.

Intel just invested $37M into Unwired, and basically AU is going to be a testbed for new wireless technology....

Good for them ... and good for me ... I've been consulting to them for the past 12+ months. It'll be great when they eventually roll out their network to VIC, QLD, etc.
