I am considering setting up a new chess club which may not necessarily come under a registered club, which means we may need independent public liability insurance.

I know in sporting clubs the "'parent" state body takes out insurance and it also covers district clubs which are affiliated with it. Does this occur in NSW with the NSWCA? And if not why not?

antichrist,

if you go to the most recent ACF email newsletter 318 (or earlier) in the right hand columns there is a section on public liability insurance scheme for chess clubs with links to info.

back issues of bulletins are stored at the ACF website.

hope you find what you are looking for.
