Now the Australian Open is over, take a short holiday then come on down to Drouin on 21/22 Feb for the first ever Open Championship in conjunction with the local festival. I am organising (and underwriting) the event, but I am leaving it to ChessWorld to actually conduct it.
It will be rated and attract category 1 Grand Prix points.
The entry fee is a modest $40 for adults and $20 for under 18s, but $50 if you register after 18th Feb.
The official web site, with registration form, accomodation details etc is at www.possumpages.com.au/drouinchess

Our Club placed a flyer for this event on the local notice-sheet. Seemed to have been received from Chess Guru which makes me think this is a GP event and will be rated by the ACF. But this was not in the flyer. Can you confirm?

could the organisers please send me a copy of the SP files so I can update the GP scores.
I would like to make the GP visible to the general public later this week. ( would be great if it was up to date.)

David Bell, or David Cordover, can you post the Drouin results?
