Thanks guys for the game, not. I think I will go "over there" and get a game. FYI I will be playing for a wager there too. :P

Sorry dude, saw your request go unanswered, but I've already got enough trouble on my plate in my game with AC .... good luck with the game, hope you take someone else's money, and not them taking yours! ;)

I presume you wanted a game, I have Noidea who you are but I think I have finished with Frosty now so looking for another game. But if you want a wager well certainly go "over there".

Frosty, I am well known at the upper NSW rating end ;)

a/c thanks for the advice.

To everyone else, sorry, for my dummy spit. I am at a delicate stage of study. I will be back later :D

Ah, well then, glad I didn't put my foot in it. I've played a couple of guys rated around 2000 at rapid speed (15 mins) and managed to give them a good game (still lost the games mind you) and a week ago I scored 1/2 against a 1770 playing rapid ... but at longer timeframes the better players tear me to pieces pretty quick. :(

Mega, I think these are supposed to be fun games, so I will be making a few wild crazyman speculative attacks. They usually don't work which is good news for you :D and fun for me :D

Duff ... look what happens when you don't play the Philidor's ... you play ILLEGAL MOVES!
2...Nc3 IS rather wild and crazy ...

I'm assuming you meant 2...Nc6

Ruy Lopez can go so deep in theory. I might have to do get this out of book ASAP of it could be 20 posts each before we start having to think.

This move is forced. I dont like being forced. I like to have some options ;) At least my light squsre bishop is now ready to sac itself on h3

But before that there is a major problem with my king safty .... it has none. If I castle long, I will be trying to aim 2 rooks 2 bishops 1 queen and a crazy horse at a deadking walking. At least that is the plan :D

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 f5 4.Nc3 Nf6 5.O-O fxe4 6.Bxc6 dxc6 7.Ng5 Hehe yeah. I actually do ok in the opening, I read once in a book about the ruy lopez saying the the "3...f5 Schleinmann(I think it's the name?) attack leaves black with premature heart failure"
my ACF rating is low from shoddy tactics and weak endgame play. Forced? Dunno what about 6...exf3 7.Bxc3. ? But the latter looks better for me I agree. Well, at least you let the shackles of your bishops. Although your king looks unhappy. :eh:

Anyway 7.Ng5.. now my knight is are gonna get given the ol run around soon. :wall:

Permature heart attack? The only way I would want that to happen is by getting caught in bed with another mans wife.

Yes Mr Mega, that pawn was never going to last long hehe. I think I would like to maintain my lead in development by Qd4 and try to double my rooks ASAP. the isolated e pawn looks sucky but it might be of use for giving you chronic angina as it blocks up your centre.

You seem to be are playing safty first. What will you do with my dark square bishop hehe. Choices choices. After all, if you take it it would be an opposite coloured bishop (OCB) endgame which is drawish which is a good result for you  But if you take Nxf6 gxf6 black will eventually plonk a pair of rooks on the g file

After 12.Be3 all this has been forced. Looks like we plough headlong into a long endgame. I was hoping that you would have allowed an opportunity for me to sac earlier but you kept your position solid. Good work on your part.

I think that I will have a slight advantage if I can keep the f file and or the bishop pair. :hmm: If I were you, I would try to take Nxd6 bishop and may be swap off 4 rooks to bring your king upt through f2, e3, e4. Me? I will will be trying to stop all that
