Posted on www.nswca.org.au: "NSWCAs Premier Event 11th-13th June Details have changed (lower entry fees and more prizes!!)"

Slightly contentious claim, as the so-called "lower entry fees" only apply to U1600s. Anyway that notwithstanding, turnout should be good. No death threats this time...

Why this event is so bloody expensive, I dunno. Nearly as much as Doeberl. Many ex-players say they don't play anymore because of high entry fees. Isn't the venue free or something?

The Open early entry fee is the same as last years.
The U1600 entry fee is less than last year as last year the entry fee for the Open and U1600 was the same.

Last year $3600 was guaranteed but we paid the fully advertised prize money of $4900 of which $3200 was for the Open and $1700 was for the u1600.
This year we have guaranteed $5000 however $6700 is advertised with $4100 in the Open and $2600 in the U1600.
