I am always amused how Lloyd S Fell and Jose Escribano need to meet each other -- imagine the body language if Lloyd has any such thing.

Who would you put your money on?
Romeo Capilitan 2057 [2] : Gregory J Canfell 2311

Listen Chess Nut. I know I have accused you of been slow but you have outdone yourself. AR wanted to go yesterday morning, it is no use knowing today.

Anyway what were the results?? Any upsets?

Did LLoyd Fell kick butt again?

I doubt he would be talking about taking his camera in a week's time, he meant yesterday. I am sure we will get the short shift from him soon. Anyway who won? I hope LLoyd did, to rub salt in.

I know that at least some of the top boards in the open are using the carbon type scoresheets. So yeah i think there will be some games available.....

Am interested in results if you don't mind writing up. Peter Parr is always week behind.I didn't see many of the Round 3 & 4 results. All I know is that I drew with Capilitan (always have trouble beating Romeo) and Xie (after exchanging draw offers his next offer finally proved mutually acceptable). Xie beat Azvayzan in the morning while Reitmans beat Capilitan in the arvo, so George and Quentin lead with 3.5/4 and will play in Round 5. Oh yeah, and my good mate Nick won both games to go to 2/4.

Full results go up on NSWCA (http://www.nswca.org.au/) usually on Wednesday or Thursday.

Just got back from the event. Photos are up. Not so many this time.

http://photos.yahoo.com/chessafficionado

George Xie won the event. In accepting his championship prize, he caused some laughter by promising a speech once he won the blitz, which was held right after. There's cockiness for you! But sure enough he won the blitz as well. He was mostly untroubled, dropping a point only to Jason Chan. I played George too but lost on time in what he judged as a drawn position. That was good enough for me.

My own score was 6.5 - worth $6!
