Round 2 pairings now seen via this link (http://www.boxhillchess.org.au/e2005/e0502fac/round2.htm)

Some great pairings-themes

Board 6 is the gentlemens contest.
Board 11, at least one will feel he has got a tough pairing.

I am predicting many upsets as quite a few of the under-rated juniors are playing against beatables.

Bulletin available at here (http://www.boxhillchess.org.au/e2005/e0502fac/bulletin.htm)

Round 2 results of the 2005 Box Hill Autumn Cup can

be viewed here (http://www.boxhillchess.org.au/e2005/e0502fac/round2.htm) ..

Results were remarkably in accord with the rating suggestions. The game I said was worth watching ended in a draw on board 11.. a good result.

Starter, please keep us updated on tonight's games...I am sitting in front of my computer on a Friday night, trembling in anticipation of the results of my tips, racked with pangs of guilt for tipping against me mate Denis...don't keep me in suspense.

having read that thread, what actually happened, what was the modern technologically? If it was a mobile phone forfeit, then isnt that the fault of the players for leaving their phones on at all?

my mousie hovered over the "here" platform expecting the train to leave for the box hill chess club site but alas ...

must be trackwork repairs going on late nights / early mornings thus requiring the link to be rerouted ...
