Should be some publishable games for the "Chessk!t Battle" thread.

I'm thinking Xie-Charles, and perhaps even Chesslover and alexmdc ;)

Oh, and congrats to Tomek!

Shouldn't there have been 7 rounds instead of 6, Bill? :P

After all, a majority of NSWCA Opinion Survey respondents said they preferred 7 rounds, not 6! :P

Yes, my list was intended to be exhaustive. ;)

Well done, by the way. An excellent result losing only to a George and Ray.

As explained to you before the rounds depend on venue availability amongst other things.

could one of those other things be what Ralph's preferred number of rounds?

My game vs George

1.Ke2 g6 2.Ne3 Nf4+ 3.Kf3 Nd3 4.Nc4 f5 5.Bg5 e4+ 6.Ke2 Re8 7.b5 Re6 8.Be3 Bc5 9.Ra5 Bxe3 10.fxe3 Rf8 11.Rha1 Rff6 12.g3 g5 13.bxa6 bxa6 14.Rf1 Rh6 15.Rh1 Ref6 16.b3 Kc7 17.Nd2 Kb6 18.b4 Rh3 19.Kf1 Rf7 20.Nc4+ Ka7 21.Nd6 Rd7 22.Nxf5 g4 23.Ke2 Rh5 24.Nd4 Rxa5 25.Nc6+ Kb6 26.Nxa5 Rf7 27.Nc4+ Ka7 28.Rf1 Rc7 29.Nd2 Rxc3 30.Nxe4 Rb3 31.Nd2 Ra3 32.Rf7+ Kb8 33.Rxh7 Nxb4 34.Rg7 Nd5 35.e4 Nc3+ 36.Ke3 Nb1+ 37.Ke2 Ra2 38.Rxg4 Rxd2+ 39.Ke3 Rxh2 40.e5 Nc3 41.e6 Nd5+ 42.Kd4 Ne7 43.Ke5 Kc7 44.Rc4+ Kd8 45.Ra4 Rh5+ 46.Kf4 Rf5+ 47.Ke4 a5 48.Rd4+ Ke8 49.Rd7 Rg5 50.Ra7 Kf8 51.Kf4 Rb5 52.g4 Nc6 53.Rf7+ Kg8 54.Rd7 Rb4+ 55.Kf5 a4 56.g5 a3 57.Rd8+ Nxd8 58.e7 Rb5 59.Ke4 Re5+ 60.Kxe5 Nc6+

59. Ke4 is the final blunder, I think 59.Kg4 draws after Rg5+ 60.Kh4 and Black is forced to play Nf7 allowing White to queen. That ending should be drawn (White's king can't enter if Black just pushes the rook from g5 to e5 and back, and the Nf7 can't be driven away)but with that time control (10s per move increments) and the fact that I had under a minute left might have worked against me. George was blitzing me in my time trouble (hence 36 Ke3 and 59.Ke4), but it worked against him.
