North Shore Open Carpool spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14hatixreV3y-g6XVveMPOkxEfCoOtfkQgVrYpFNMgHY/edit?usp=sharing)

There's one sheet for people who need a ride and one sheet for people offering rides.

Do you need a ride to the North Shore open?
Can you offer someone a ride to the North Shore open?

I've seen this at other events but not at a chess tournament. Use at your own risk. It is flexible enough that it can be used by someone who isn't in AUckland as well as someone in Auckland. I've just set up the barebones. It can be prettied up.

Please have a look. Have I missed anything?

Venue for 2014 North Shore Open is at National Chess Centre (http://www.nationalchesscentre.co.nz/) in Devonport, Auckland. Address: 100b Victoria Rd, Devonport, Auckland. Just making sure ppl realise this isn't the same venue used in previous North shore opens.

North Shore Open Carpool spreadheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14hatixreV3y-g6XVveMPOkxEfCoOtfkQgVrYpFNMgHY/edit?usp=sharing). Oops! forgot to make sure ppl could edit the it. It has been rectified.

Have you submitted your entry to the North Shore Open?

Spectators are welcome. There will be a bookstall (with some chess equipment and other chess-related items) and a café (real coffee, hot chocolate, sweets, cake, and some hot meals) in the church, while play takes place in the hall alongside.

Carpool spreadsheet has been deleted. No one used it.

The event sounds Grand. Good luck to all the players.

I predict a comfortable tournament win for Puchen.

Where will the results be posted?

Where will the results be posted?
The usual places (I assume). ie Results page (http://newzealandchess.co.nz/results.html) on NZ Chess website.

There'll probably be a summary/link to the results on the NZCF facebook page. Also an echo/copy on twitter + google+. I'll post links to these here so those of you using those can like/share it.

ps just realised that last year's North Shore Open thread was the first time the tournament had a thread in here. link (http://www.chesschat.org/showthread.php?15007-North-Shore-Open)

Photos Simon or I took at the tournament (https://www.flickr.com/photos/simonlyall/sets/72157646931730269/)
Some of it quite dark due to the sunny weather (in relation to where I was). Sorry. should have been more aware of it.
We weren't at the prize giving for Open + B tournaments. Hopefully someone else has pics.
