Nic, currently resident in the UK, picked up his second IM norm with a round to spare at the e2e4 Chess Brighton International, 15-19 February. Incidentally, Nic also won the round-robin event, ahead of higher-rated players such as GM Igor Rausis and IM Alexandre Vuilleumier. See the crosstable and full details at

Impressive result. Well done Nic. Shouldn't be long before Nic becomes New Zealand's 7th IM.

Yes, well done indeed :clap: :clap: :clap:. Of course, much of his recent success can be directly atributed to attending (and winning) all those Queen's Birthday events in Dunedin ;)
