I was highlighting the apostrophe, not the choice of word. :)

(can you tell I do proof reading? :D)

No; just plain "Australians". No apostrophe needed anywhere.

However, this would also be correct (though rather inelegantly phrased):

Following is a list of Australians' FIDE ratings on the Oct 2004 list, 2250 and over.

You know, I didn't set out to derail this thread quite so heinously. :D

Can you post the whole list? What's the range of Fide ratings these days?
Here is the top 100:

http://fide.com/ratings/topfed.phtml?ina=1&country=AUS

You're at #53. :)

You can use an advanced search to see the rest of the list in Aus. Search by country and rating range, sort by rating, and set the range appropriately. Since you can only get 100 at a time, you'll have to do it in stages, each time setting the lowest rating on the results to your maximum rating for the next search.

The lowest rating in Australia is 1722.

Yeah I deleted the post when I realised it was all on the Fide website

Following is the list of all Australians rated 2250 and over on the FIDE Oct 2004 list.

Rogers, Ian g AUS 2593

Ian is sneaking back up to that 2600 mark. This is his highest rating in several years (world rank 143), and a big improvement since a low of 2528 in 2000.

It's great to see the old blokes proving wrong the "slow decline" theory. I hope he crushes some teenage egos at the Olympiad.
