The world lost one of its most prominent holy (con)men with the passing of the Indian spiritualist fraud Sathya Sai Baba at the age of 84 last week. His death at that age was itself revealing since he had repeatedly stated he would die at 96, and by dying earlier, he falsified the only test of his powers that he had ever allowed to occur under controlled conditions. He dodged all challenges to subject his supposedly miracle-making powers (especially, the supposed ability to "manifest" small material objects) to the proper scrutiny of controlled conditions.

On Tasmanian Times http://tasmaniantimes.com/index.php?/article/the-passing-of-sri-sathya-sai-baba/ there is a thread where I have had a few goes in comments at the silly Baba sycophant who wrote the main article.

I read a report him but somehow it failed to mention how he was molesting young boys. A chess friend went over to India to crawl up his bum so to speak (sorry about language) and missed the Four Corners program on him that was child molestation of his supporters children. So he come back full of praise for him and I said "You $%##* idiot you missed last nights program on him molesting young boys".

why people need gurus for I will never know. Lebos dont!

And I have been telling them for years here in Byron Bay. My relos all live to very ripe old ages, much greater than 84 without any of that yoga, spiritualness rubbish. We have physio theraphy and psychologists, proper scientific treatment not unscientific 3rd world practises.

Physiotherapy can be very useful but current evidence is that the psychologists are not providing much help!! :( ;)

Policemen carry the Tricolour to place it on the body of Sri Sathya Sai Baba during his last rites at the Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram in Puttaparthi. Thousands of devotees including top politicians attended the funeral of Sathya Sai which was performed with full state honour.

I have read a few more reports and not one mentioned his child molesting, but if you search internet it is full the it. Has the press collective amnesia?

Sai Baba's death reminds me of the chaser's war on everything Eulogy song. People remember his teachings more than they remember his child abuse.

Yeah, the reptoids dude. Hard to tell quite what he is up to. Familiar with him mostly from a chapter in Ronson's "Them: Adventures with Extremists" where some activists who think he is using "reptoid" as code for "Jew" try to disrupt a book signing and fail miserably.

His website has a link entitled "So David Icke Is A Nutter??" with a youtube video designed to convince people otherwise. In my case it failed but it was quite entertaining.
