Ehhh this looks ugly... I resign, thanks Michael. I've always hated playing against the c3 Sicilian

Thanks alex :) The Nf6 line gives you the best chances at counter-play, but also probably me the most lines for attack.

The d5 line is a fast-track drawn situation, though a lot of people stuff up the original pawn resolution in the middle.

e6 variation is more for people who like slow positional advantages.

As for the game, I don't know when your theory ran out, the ideas for 9.Na3 is to go after an advantage straight away with your awkwardly placed queen. Because people try to hold the pawn advantage also, it allows me a lot of direct play. Instead of 9... a6, I think the better move was 9... Be6 giving you some options. After this move, you directly challenge my position and make me prove it immediately or else I'm going to get countered fairly quickly, eg. 9... Be6 10.Nb5 Qd7 with either of the following continuations:

11. Nbxd4 Nxd4 12.Nxd4 Bxb3 13.Qxb3 and now either 13... e5 or g6 should equalize fairly solidly. I really don't know which of the two situations would be better for black, but as an educated guess, probably g6 followed by Bg7 for that diagonal which will prove important in defending a queenside pawn push which is pretty much my only plan now. On the other hand, e5 captures the centre and allows for possibly a king-side pawn movement. Either way, I think the game from there is drawn.

Or 11. Bxe6 Qxe6 12.Be3(I like this move :) ) Qd7 13. Nbxd4 e6 14. O-O Nc4
This is from a game Shaked-de Firmian, Las Vegas 1994, marked unclear.

Just a couple of other things also.

I think retreating your king back to g8 was probably a bit safer. Left you open to bring your rook to e8 for supporting your centre later.

A significantly better move was 14... Ne5. This keeps my own knight out and gives you a supported centre after Nbd7 and Rc8. Remember you're a pawn up here, defend the attack and you have a significant advantage. I do think I have the initiative say after 14... Ne5 15. Qe2 Nbd7 16. Rd1 but still, it's definately stalled a bit.

Also 15. Qf6 or Qg6 is a much better spot.

Yea thanks info. With the 14... Ne5, That does seem better now I think about it. Plus, the pawn count is even, i'm not plus one.
