It was on the chessbase website mentioned this last week.

ahh indeed, i just googled my way there.
interesting that she never popped up despite all this interest over kosteniuk et al.

as a bit of an aside, her entry on the fide rating list has
927007 Manakova, Maria wg SCG 2374 0 01.03.74 w

anyone know where SCG is?

Ah, maybe Fischer's new home.

Doesn't bother anywhere near as much as Kosteniuk based on the photos I've seen so far. Not sure if that's because she's a mature adult who seems to be in control of what she's doing, or because she appears to be stirring if not trolling. Anyway there were some great moments in the chessbase article:

There is something attractive about Karpov too. But maybe I am a bit perverted?

   The mind boggles. Someone please tell me something was lost in translation.

As for Kramnik, he doesnít interest me. He is neither bad nor good. When he won the title of world champion he should have offered Kasparov a rematch. He didnít Ė he was simply scared. Such men donít interest me.

not work safe?
i always assumed not work safe line was drawn at pointy bits and more?
surely a page on the age wouldn't be considered not work safe?!

*shrug*

Hehe.. you'd think so.. there's stuff on unmod forums though I'd never check at the university labs after logging in.. in sigs alone.

I think it is culturally dependent. You would think anything at The Age would not be unacceptable. I don't think anyone at my would would be reprimanded for it, but I guess mileage may vary.

Usually, but if someone happened to be facing sexual harassment type action and that happened to be on the screen as their opponent in such a process walked in ...

I think it best not to take any chances.

Many times here I have suggested a "nude chess" event, but nobdy takes it seriously.
