Its a class 2 GP event.

Of course you could have just checked the NSWCA web site. The answer is there in the tournament advert.

The win of the d-pawn looks ok. What is wrong with the improvement 16...Bg4? I think 16...f6 was the mistake. After 16...Bg4?! 17.Bxc8 Rxc8 and Black has more than enough compensation for the exchange with extremely active pieces and threats to wreck white's King position and threats on the queen in some positions.

Still score a win and draw against 1500 rated opposition so was quite good.

TP is a nice guy. Started playing a few years ago. Has just started taking it a bit more seriously. That 720 player is a good mate of TP's and they probably were not playing "at their best" - as often is the case when friends are asked to belt each other.

Until you get to known who is who here, it might be a good idea to be nicer than you have been. After that, you can let it all hang out.

BTW, when a player I know starts cracking 50%, I feel good for him.

BTW#2 what is your approximate rating?
