One should point out that the study did employ a very inclusive usage of the word "scientist" including the social sciences. While some QRP do occur in all the sciences, the physical sciences is a little harder to get away with much due to the emphasis on reproducibility of laboratory results. Even more so in mathematics where it is necessary to convince the discipline of the correctness of the proof of a theorem or the validity of a model which seemingly matches observed results.
