It's funny how the ACF head honcho doesn't think very highly of chesschat people but this here event takes the time to provide a chesschat liaison officer.

Have the ACF endorsed the adult competition as yet? I didn't think so, but I could be wrong.

Hi Barry,

Thanks for this.

Yes just to let everyone know this has not been approved by ACF but when Im at Doerbel it will be an item for discussion. The details that will be released very shortly about our adult comps are subject to ACF approval and same goes with any titles etc.

Hopefully, there will be no hassle.

Cheers,
Alex.

Thanks Garvin.

Just a few other things:
that document is a draft which allows you to critique it before we put it before the ACF. We will do the best we can to accomodate people's wishes.

We would like to make 1 change:
there is 2 (poss 3) divisions:
Championship (top players from each state compete-max 8 from each)
Open Championship (Under 2000 Event)
Possible Under 1600 Championship??

We want everyone to know that these Championships are for everyone. We dont just focus on certain players!

Cheers,
Alex

ps i dont always have time to post, but this is one occasion i can. Other times, Garvin will do it for us.

You'd better include which server the games are going to be played on.

ACF representative for Australian Internet Chess Championships for adults is Bill Gletsos.

If youre wondering, this position just ensures we do everything according to the book.
