All of the Tarkovsky movies

I have seen only one, Stalker, which was on SBS a couple of times 15-20 years ago, and which I found to be astonishing, and considered at the time to be the best movie I had ever seen.

I have still not seen Tarkovsky's Solaris despite being a fan of the late Stanislaw Lem, upon whose novel it is based. I know that Lem disliked Tarkovsky's version but I suspect he liked the Clooney version that came out not long before he died even less.

I don't think about having a "favourite movie" these days, or even a list of favourite movies. It is an area in which my interest level is not high enough to maintain a firm opinion.

I watched Sweeney Todd tonight and I thought that was pretty cool although I really think they should remake a non-musical version because the story as a whole has a pretty awesome plot nothing deep bt fairly good.

I watched it again today and I think it's pretty fantastic. When he sings to his razors, thats my favourite part. Also watched the assasination of Jesse james which was alright nothing special although Casey Affleck did a much better job then his brother has ever done.

watched X-men 2 today and saw that when mystique is infiltrating some place as lady deathstrike to find where magneto is, on the computer there is a listing of multiple popular mutants. Some of these are Remy LeBeau (Gambit) and Kevin McTaggert (Proteus-not to be confused with ultimate Proteus, David Xavier)

I think they went a little mad with what they could endure etc. weird abilities for everyone like starwars if they had those robots that could take jedi's why don't they just deploy them in the future instead of star troopers and stuff.

Re Casablanca, apparently it contains one of the most misquoted lines in cinematc history. The line "Play it again, Sam" does not appear in the movie. It's "Play it for me, one more time Sam" or something like that.

Agreed. I also enjoyed that new X-Men movie. Took my son last Sat night. It won't win any awards for plot but never mind.
