    Quirky chess tips

    This thread is for little tips and tricks you pick up along the way.
    It dosen't matter how patzerish they are just as long as they are sensible.
    I'll post up one in a sec.

    white here can force a passed pawn by 1.g3 hxg3 2.f3! and white queens first.

    In this position (or with a bishops pawn I'll show why later) White can't actually win because every time he is actually forced behind his pawn it's stalemate.
    And still, no one has satisfactorily proven, that it isn't opposite day.
