    Manly wins the NRL Premiership

A great victory for our parent club in the league- a 40- nil pasting of the Melbourne Storm. Manly are the 2008 Premiers! Highly appropriate that it will follow up by being the venue for the Australian Open chess champs.

Psephological insight. "Controversial will only lose you votes. Courageous will lose you the election." Sir Humphrey Appleby on Yes Minister.

The best thing about the game yesterday is that Saints no longer have the worst loss in GF history
