    I learned something. I didn't realize that trap had a name.

    I advise against that move order, because White could gain space with tempo compared to normal Benoni structures with 3.d5. Clearly you are not afraid of the Morra, so 2... cxd4 is fine.

    ^ delaying a3 in this line is not great but black has to know what he's doing. It's not right to say white is lost by move 7. The mistake here was 9.Rb1. You can instead go 9.axb4 Qxa1 10.Nce2 and white is far from lost, in fact the black queen can into trouble if black isn't careful.
