Draw agreed. Thanks; a generous offer - I think you're just a shade "better" here but for freestyle it's inevitably drawn.

I was happy with my position out of the opening and not having played the Nimzo for yonks it was fun to explore a line that I found suited my style (or lack thereof) + that I could happily play OTB.

However, I ended up in that weird 2N for 2B position where I was being told I was .2 or .3 up but couldn't find a convincing plan or understand what was actually going on. Also I rushed my analysis of the exchange sac badly, and had to put a lot of work into finding a correct response.

    Good game.

Yes - I have thought for a few moves there is no way either side could win this position in Freestyle apart from someone forgetting to make a move in the seven day limit. The game could go on for months !

yes - I didn't mind Black either. I don't usually play Bd3 and Nf3 and found the experience uncomfortable.

Yes I think the computer was telling me you had a slight plus too. But I thought the two bishops and my pawns in the center might have had a chance in the long run, and I didn't think the shattered pawns on my kingside could be exploited.

Yes thanks, the freestyle tournament has been an interesting experience.

    Cheers
