Interesting time of the year to post in this thread: Xmas Eve: I was in Melbourne Chess Club playing Allegro and giving chess lessons afterwards.
Xmas Day: Working morning till night
Boxing Day: Some work (just light marking, plus working on clients' project), long powerwalk in the evening after sun goes down and of course shopping ...for coffee

It's dissapointing but I guess they couldn't make it work financially. I discovered they were ceasing operations a while ago so I signed up with Spotify which I use to operate the Sonos system I have.

yes it was far too expensive ($9/month I think it was) , the ads were very frequent repetitive & annoying, and running out of skips was pretty ridiculous. If I can't skip a song I don't like, I just turn the app off. I have a Sonos too, might give spotify a go.

Be aware you have to use Spotify Premium for Sonos. Single use is $11.99 per month but I am able to install it on phone, tablet, TV, etc. For $17.99 you can add another five individuals under that plan. It's also a bit of fun where somebody else has Sonos in their home as it then becomes a battle for the music. As I have two Play 1's, three Play 5's and a Playbase, there are endless opportunities to annoy the other person.

I think the problem is, wasting time on these devices does not qualify as "what did you do today".
I should b*y know..... though on the odd occasion i write some code, it is something.

Yeah ok... Todey i braved the zero degrees and drove to Warwick for a change of venue for my bike ride. But none of the freaking locals turned up, or i got given the wrong time/venue - it was pretty cold ... So I did 40kms out a road i knew. Was ok... just too much traffic for a sunday. In the arvo, made curry for lunch and entertained a friend for more time than i cared too but was all good. Did some minor bike maintenance in the sun. Just finished watching Star Trek Generations for the first time. Better than avg Star Trek fare . Back to work tomorrow.

I wonder if anyone here plays Lord of The Rings Online maybe? Since that is what I did today, apart from the mandatory working, reading, eating wonder.
Currently playing on http://lichess.org and trying out 1.d4 thanks to my fave youtuber via Chessable
