Well they aren't going to say that they're anxious to put it off for a month, are they?

I must admit I'm mystified by the whole thing. Surely you shouldn't be able to get past Customs without having your approvals in order - people crossing state borders have to answer questions and fill in forms. The Scotty who was Immigration Minister would have had him on the plane to Belgrade or the boat to Manus Island before his luggage hit the carousel.

Did you watch the hearings this morning or last night? I did and if Djokovic's lawyers were misleading the judges they appeared before in both hearings then I am sure the judge tomorrow will be rather angry with them and they will not get much support for trying to delay proceeding.

No time to watch hearings but was reading news updates on the hearings. Looks like Novak's lawyers are doing a great job delivering value for the money they are paid.

If Djokovic wins today, and I have no idea whether he is going to or not, Alex Hawke must be sacked as Immigration minister. It would be total incompetence to lose this case.

One of the facts that came into light: Novak may remember shots he played 10 years ago but ''forgot'' he was in Spain last month.

Now that the dust has settled, keep the facts in mind. Djokovic applied for and was granted a medical exemption to enter Australia without vaccination by the Australian Federal Government. That approval was reversed upon his arrival and the issue became a political football as public opinion became apparent. He was finally expelled under the minister's draconian powers.

Djokovic may be an anti-vaxxer pinup boy, but he did nothing wrong, only following the established protocols. He has become an election issue (remember Howard and the Tampa).

Ian, first time you are red handed mortal sin guilty.

Novak lied on his paper work. On all Immigration docs there are warnings against doing so and the penalties they may apply.

Off to confession mate - plead the Trump, it always seems to work.
Zionism is racism as defined by the UN, Israel by every dirty means available steals land and water, kill Palestinian freedom fighters and civilians, and operates an apartheid system to drive more Palestinians off their land

So Labour would let him in? I do not think they would...as it would not score them points...populists like Andrews love scoring ''brownie points'' .

He should have been denied access unconditionally before his arrival to our shores. but then Again Tennis Australia and Vic government were so enthusiastic about having him

Dangerous Precedents and Hypothetical Threats: The Deportation of Novak Djokovic

... The Djokovic precedent presents the authorities with a large tarring brush, one to be used against other notable figures of certain opinions seen to pose a risk to Australia’s public interest. Hypotheticals will suffice, given that the Minister need only be satisfied that the person might be a risk to health, safety and good order.

Such latitude also grants authorities a heavy hand to target future dissent and protest. The Australian government will be able “to justify,” barrister and president of Liberty Victoria Mike Stanton warns, “the suppression of legitimate political expression because others might engage in unrest.”

With a stunning lack of imagination, the Djokovic precedent promises that the executive will not be accountable for the disorder and disruption arising from deporting individuals who might command a following. Oppression promises to be twinned with unpardonable stupidity.

This is why he should have been bared from entrying the country from the start where the grounds were purely (and it was obvious to all) medical.

US Open and French following suit.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ten...don/ar-AASSp9r

Wimbledon is starting to look like the final refuge for Novak Djokovic after the French government suggested he would be barred from the French Open.

The Sports Ministry in Paris declared that unjabbed elite athletes would not be exempt from needing a vaccination health pass to attend Roland Garros in May and other sporting events in the country. ...
So what's your excuse? For running like the devil's chasing you?

See you in another life, brotha.
