'That's hilarious, if Rafa (Rafael Nadal) plays that quick I'm retiring from tennis. Absolute rubbish… disgrace,' Kyrgios said.
'Get me some footage of Rafa playing that quick, that game. If you can find any of that I'll shut my mouth and never speak again.'
The 24-year-old stuck to his word and shared side-by-side footage of himself and Nadal taking serves.
'Facts or nah,' he captioned the video posted to Instagram.
According to the video comparison, Kyrgios took 28.22 seconds between his point to take a serve while Nadal took 41 seconds.

Would be good to see him giving his opponents a bit more respect...particularly given that Rafa has been a top player for years while Kirgios never progressed beyond occasional flashes of brilliance.

Nadal is cheating and getting away with it but Our Nick cops a penalty. Good on him for protesting but it should have been controlled. I hate when they delay serving and fault serving it is the reason I watch little tennis.

Your Nick is disgrace - swearing and spatting all over. He should be disqualified!

One could argue he's disgracing Scotland by not swearing.
So what's your excuse? To run like the devil's chasing you.

See you in another life, brotha.

Kyrgios gets abused by opposing player, Steve Johnson, for mucking up, then plays perfectly. Must be a moral there somewhere.

    Kyrgios: Tennis is boring

I agree with Kyrgios that after 3 sets that tennis becomes boring - another reason for not watching the men's games.

Well he is certainly making it more ''exciting'' through his antics...

This Korean golfer got a 3 years suspension for it seems only one Kyrgios episode. Maybe he should take up tennis instead.

Indeed...Imagine a chess player acting like Kyrgios.
On another note, great to see Murray back. Earlier this year, he was considering retirement.

No need to … imagine! there were two distinct cases of the kind in Sydney in the '80s!
One, A.R. was kicked out and has never been seen since.
The other one I think is still (occasionally) active but very well behaved; at least when I saw him he was ok.
Back to tennis, it's really worrying to see some young kids behaving like Kyrgios and Tomic during practice and lower division matches at Albert Park and other venues.
Looks like real sporting champs like Roger, and Andy do not attract some youngsters as much as the tennis and other sports obstreperous characters!

    so is your mate Fed

Federer received a code violation for hitting a ball into the stands, and then received a point penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct after flicking a ball into the air when trailing 3-0 in the third set.

    https://twitter.com/BenRothenberg/st...rc=twsrc%5Etfw
When asked about the point penalty after the match, Federer didn't want to go into any detail.
"So you could write on Twitter, you mean?" Federer answered. "No, it would be nice to write something nice once also about the game.
