Updated.
Every time I use the shout box and shout I get:
Not Found
The requested URL /[object] was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I noticed. I still however get the error.
It shows up in the shoutbox message area.
I only get to see them after refreshing the page.
I'm using IE6 on WinXP Pro.
Also if I use the shoutbox refresh button the text :
http://www.chesschat.org/shoutbox.php?do=iframe
appears within the shoutbox window area.

Yes, that text is supposed to appear, then the whole iframe should reload the chat...
I'm not sure why you are getting the 404 error, but can you clear your temporary internet files and try again. If you are still getting the error, I'll try something different (maybe javascript redirect).
shoutbox ok my end but perhaps an option "refresh only when new shout occurs" rather than every 10 seconds might be an idea
eclectic
.
I can't do this sorry eclectic. It is possible through Java applets, but it is too time consuming and many people do not have Java enabled on their browser (like me).
Note: my browser is reloading every 10 seconds even when shout box is collapsed.

I took off auto-reload. Is it still reloading?
No, seems OK. Thanks.Originally Posted by Jeo
