"The technology revolution has transformed organizations across the private sector, but not ours, not fully, not yet. We are, as they say, tangled in our anchor chain. Our financial systems are decades old. According to some estimates, we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions. We cannot share information from floor to floor in this building because it's stored on dozens of technological systems that are inaccessible or incompatible."

I seemed to have missed this story on 'The News' !

Ok, about to run poll #2.
Hoping for a greater response this time....remember this is all for the sake of research . Thankyou.

If TurnBULL is right, as opposed to KRudd's estimate 10x bigger.

But Yankee wastage doesn't justify impoverishing Australia while polluting countries benefit from this moronic Kyoto Protocol.
“The history of the 20th century is full of examples of countries that set out to redistribute wealth and ended up redistributing poverty.”
“There’s no point blaming the tragedies of socialism on the flaws or corruption of particular leaders. Any system which allows some people to exercise unbridled power over others is an open invitation to abuse, whether that system is called slavery or socialism or something else.”—Thomas Sowell
