the ratings spread of the three is not that significant but i've got a soft spot for ivanchuk who tends to be a mercurial chess player

it would be safe to say that his listed rating indicates his promise

whether or not he can always deliver is another thing

He is my favorite. But it seems the only thing I really learnt from him was how to occasionally lose a game really quickly!

Ivanchuk is a legend. He has been consistently delivering the goods of late which is why his rating is where it is. Ok so he hasn't had many games against the top guys recently but you can only win against the opposition that is in front of you. Wonder what damage he would have caused had he played in the World Champs. Can't wait for him to kick some top 10 butts next time he plays them.

He was also doing well on Board 1 in the recent European Teams Championships till the last round loss to Radjabov.

It must be credible - it was calculated using Elo

...I don't want to go among mad people Alice remarked, "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: we're all mad here. I am mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat ,"or you wouldn't have come here."
