I had 2 bananas for lunch that day - maybe that was a bad omen, in retrospect...

Still, would have been a shame to spoil the picture of 5 white wins for that round, for those who like aesthetics...

Despite being shaken up by a certain young up-and-comer Kevin had a tremendous victory!

Also a fantastic effort by the two youngsters Qi Le Kong-Lim and Denny Han who both exceeded expectations and beat some of the State's finest in their first State Championship!

Great win to both Eryk and Michael in the Candidates, the big boys will have every reason to be afraid next year

There is only one automatic qualifying place from the Candidates.

The rules are, that tied first placegetters shall be separated by a play off match.

Entry form states. Winner [singular ] qualifies for the 2016 Championship

Thank you very much! (a 4:32am posting, lol, George must get up early for work!)

A match is a lot of trouble to go to - couldn't Mike & Eryk just arm wrestle for it? (I'd like to see that! Hmm, who would be favourite? )

A wise prince will also realise that this can be achieved more successfully by means other than rape, pillage, greed, lies, deceit or misinformation.
