    Progress scores Round 8

    A Grade

    Adelaide 22½, Knights & Bytes 19, Matisons 18½, Modbury Marauders 18,
    The A Team 18, Norwood Red 13½, Norwood Blue 12, Grasshoppers 5½

In A Grade Adelaide seem to have first place sewn up but the fight for the minor placings will go down to the wire.

In B Grade Modbury has hit the front but ABZS are breathing down their necks and it all goes down to the last round results.

A dramatic night of blitz chess with the tournament lead changing several times and ending in a three way tie for first place.

A playoff will be held as a 3 player double round robin starting at 7.30pm, Tuesday, July 19.

Will that produce a clear winner, or will it still be a tie?

No do not go there, I cannot bear the thought.
