Hopefully that's true, looks like it will be a job for me and Will

Nice triple dead heat in the candidates... Paul doing well to score a big upset result to prevent an outright winner.
And more pain for the 3 players involved

4 of the 10 players in the State Championship section were playing in their first SA championship and each of them did well to finish among the top 6 positions.
As Bill would say, we gotta watch for these guys.

Well done to Bill Jordan for the picket fence score. The last time I saw a picket fence in this competition, I think, was when Bill A-S won the Candidates in that manner about 6 years ago...
In the Championship we think its more than 30 years, but maybe shorter.

Hi all - I've just been transferring some historical results over to the main website, and noticed that the 2011 SA Blitz had a 3-way tie for first place, which was resolved by a double round-robin.

Just thought I'd mention it as it seems relevant to the recent confusion with the Candidates.

A few days ago I found some old tournament results dating from 1993-2012 that aren't recorded in this thread. I have added these to the SACA website, and the can be accessed at http://www.sachess.org.au/results/ .

There are also a number of PGN files from this period which I'll be adding shortly, and I have made it so that the tournaments with games available to download will have an icon next to them in the above-linked list.

Also to let you know 'C' Grade has been postponed due to insufficient team entries.
There are still plans to run the 'C' Grade, if we have get a few more interested players later in the Interclub, with fewer rounds.

Furthermore, Swiss Perfect will still be used as the program for Interclub, as VegaTeams cannot run where there are more rounds than teams

Something for Mr Forlano (Vega developer) to fix
