Had a small field for the allegro but that didn't stop our friendly competition from happening. Thank you to all new players for coming out who haven't played with SACA before, and congratulations to Mai Chi for taking first place!

You would of been going back post haste, considering how quick they finished
Anyway we can't wait for your return and enjoy the remainder of your trip

Another tie on the offering (up to a 4 way is possible I believe)

We'll let people know of the tie-break situation, once I talk to wiser heads

Playoff for the place in next years championship, same rules as for State Championship.

    Introducing the new Interclub C-Grade!

SACA is introducing a new division of the Interclub tournament for new players or players with a rating of less than 1000 ACF, starting with Round 1 on May 1st at 7.30pm.

Players will play two games each night against the same opponent (once with each colour pieces). The time control will be 15 minutes + 10 seconds per move for each player, meaning that at the very latest games should be finished by 9 PM – perfect for juniors or players of any age looking to start playing competitive chess!

If you are interested or have any further questions, please email gradematches@sachess.org.au ASAP. You do not need to be a member of a club to enter – just playing on a team with a few friends is fine as well!
Webmaster for SACA & ACF. Contact: webmaster@auschess.org.au

    SACA Website: sachess.org.au
Ratings lookup: sachess.org.au/ratings (Not official, but based on ACF rating lists - and it has graphs!)
    ACF Website: auschess.org.au
