Regarding tonight's Simul with GM Papin, 18 players braved the heat, to take on the Russian Grand Master.
It was a clock simul with 60 minutes + 10 Seconds a move time control.
Only one player, Warren Kramer, was able to get a win on time, the remaining 17 players lost, which included Top 10 players Kyle Leaver, Kevin Sheldrick and Alan Goldsmith, among others.
GM Papin was great, being very sociable to all players and helping us pack up at the end as well![]()
We wish Vasily the best of luck for all the tournaments he'll be playing in Australia.
Thank you to all who came out, played and helped us out, with taking pictures, setting up and packing up.![]()
We'll hopefully have scoresheets of the matches, in the not too distant future.
