How's this for "topical"?
The position after mangafranga's 14.Qc1 against me has 11 games in Chessbase, many of them featuring super-GMs. All of them date from 2006-7 with four in April 2007! (The stats are +6=3-2 for white.)

Good opportunity to create some theory.![]()
So what's your excuse? For running like the devil's chasing you?
See you in another life, brotha.

There must be lots of potentially theoretically useful games played that never get databased. Chance for one of us to anticipate the next brilliant "grandmaster novelty" perhaps.![]()
To anticipate in an actual game rather than our own private databases!Originally Posted by Kevin Bonham

Thought I'd let people know that I am going to be taking my time over moves for the next 3 weeks.
Also, a stupid question about the time control. If someone posts a move on the 10th, for example, do I have until the end of the 16th or the end of the 17th or the end of 7 24 hour periods to make a move?
A very good example to illustrate the time control concept is here: http://www.chesschat.org/showthread.php?t=6272Originally Posted by Mangafranga

This meant that Tyson had to reply by 23-05-2007, 7:00 PM
Tyson posted his reply move at 23-05-2007, 06:10 PM and now the game continues.

1.Nc3 d5 2.d4 Nf6 3.Bg5 h6 4.Bxf6 exf6 5.e3 c6 6.Bd3 Bd6 7.Nf3 0-0 8.Ne2 Re8 9.Qh5!!
A fairly liberal interpretation of Freestyle, assistance of Magically moving peices!!
Although I agree with the sentiment that Qh5 is always good!![]()
Yes, as noted on the thread I found a fabulous new way to make a clerical error, deciding to play Nd2 and saving that move in my file, but then typing Ne2.
Fortunately 8.Ne2 makes some sort of sense itself so my position is no more uninspired than it already was.![]()
Hi. In four weeks I will be going overseas to visit my relatives and I think I would be gone for about a month. Just thought that its important for other CC players to know. I'll be making my moves like usual till then.
By my count Zwischenzug has overstepped the time limit in both of our games.
Happy for you to take as much timeout in our remaining game as you need for that purpose. (Though feel free to move from overseas if able and so inclined!)Originally Posted by Zwischenzug
Good news. There has been a change in my travel plans. My little vacation starts on the 24th of next month and last for 2 weeks. I might be able to finish a few CC games before then.
