    Privjet

I would like to tell everyone that I have had the honor to play Ekaterina Korbut (female grandmaster) while I was in Russia. My lover is Russian, and this is how I met this girl, by playing her in a blitz tournament and losing quite quickly to all the masters here. Drunk masters, that is.

This is one of my games playing as black. As you can see, I made a bad sacrifice.

    That's very good.

I find it very odd that non-russian speakers pronounce the word Privet (ie. hello in russian) like this: priv-yet.

I have no idea why. There is no y or j in the russian spelling of the word, nor is it pronounced that way in russian. Yet english speakers seem to add it themselves for some reason. Wonder if it's some sort of difficulty with pronouncing the 'ivet' with a soft t.

I see. It sounds like there is a "yet" sound at the end. I suppose I should study my Russian a little more! If I make it to world champion, I have to know Russian, I think it's a prerequisite!

WE, are you familiar with the Ruskie for 'hydra'?
There is no cure for leftism. Its infestation of the host mostly diminishes with age except in the most rabid of specimens.

Even hydras have trouble with foreign languages

    This one seems fairly harmless....
