Thanks Glenno.
I found that game very interesting and useful, especially the opening and early middlegame. I had never played 7...f6 before (I normally play ...f5) but decided a correspondence game would be a good chance to learn more about it. I was not aware of it at all until Geveke's upset win against Rogers with it in New Zealand last summer.
Thought I was getting an advantage earlier but I didn't realise that 16.Qh6! was going to solve white's problems at least for a while in view of the line 18...Ng8? 19.Nf5!! which I then had to avoid. Sometime around move 35 I seemed to get an advantage again, but it's a mystery to me where it came from. Even with the developing weakness of your c-pawn which I eventually managed to clean up it was still a very difficult game because I always had to be sure you couldn't get your majority on the kingside rolling effectively.Moderation Requests: All requests for, comments about, or questions about moderation of any kind including thread changes must be posted in the Help and Feedback section and not on the thread in question.
