basically it is the participants tournament. I will just make decisions based on what is agreed between the participants.Originally Posted by Axiom
I propose that we use the rules as voted by BB users:

IE, you can:
Use a board to do calculations
Use pen and paper to do calculations
Consult a chess book or website
and you cannot
Use a computer chess engine
Ask for advice
So what's your excuse? For running like the devil's chasing you?
See you in another life, brotha.
What does everyone want as a time control ie days per move before a game times out?
Whatever you guys decide is what I will ENFORCE.
I think 3 days per move is normal
3 days is good.Originally Posted by peter_knight

That would mean that any one of your games if you havent replied to your opponent's move in three days, you lose that game.Originally Posted by EGOR
From previous tournaments on here, 3 days was considered too short when playing 14 games at once. I think 7 days is more normal.
But again, it is up to you guys after I have heard from all seven players.
In the last tournament not all the games were up at once, and we did 3 days (I think), but I'm happy with 7 days considering how many games we are playing at once.![]()

I agree that 3 days is too short. I would prefer 7.Originally Posted by ggrayggray

in the end there was no enforcement at all of the time control due to the loss of the pgn viewer. Also a few players just stopped participating.Originally Posted by EGOR
So after it was clear that no one was continuing their games, I terminated the tournament.
Yes it was a sad end, I really wanted to finish those games, but termination was the only real option.Originally Posted by ggrayggray
