    Lidums Checkmate Open

    Adelaide Checkmate Open and Checkmate Challenge (U1600)

    Category 3 Grand Prix event

    8th and 9th of July
    South Australian Chess Center
    10 Ranliegh Street Adelaide.
    This is just off Waymouth Street near Light Square.

    Checkmate Open Prizes
    1st Prize $750
    2nd Prize $500
    3rd Prize $250
    1st Seniors, Womens and Interstate $75
    2nd and 3rd ratings groups 1st $75
    Juniors 1st $70
    2nd $30

    Checkmate Challenge Prizes
    1st $300
    2nd $150
    3rd $75

    There is a junior teams competition as part of the challenge event.

    Total prizes over $2500

    Entry Fees
    Checkmate Open $55, Concession $45
    Checkmate Challenge $45 Concession $35
    Free entry to the ussaul group of titled players

    Entries close 9am 8th of July.

    Round times
    Saturday
    1. 9:30am
    2. 12:15pm
    3. 2:30pm
    4. 5pm
    Sunday
    5. 10:00am
    6. 1:00pm
    7. 3:30pm

    Lidums Checkmate Open and Lidums Checkmate Challenge (U1600)

    A 7 round swiss tournament with a time control of 60 minutes + 10 seconds/move from move one.
    Category 3 Grand Prix event

    LOL!! no. It would be a laugh to get them on board however, i believe they sponsored the olympiad team a while ago?
