    Internet Explorer v7

Has anyone else here tried IE7 beta 2? I have installed on a number of PCs of mine and noted the following side effects:

    - screen fonts have changed noticeable. everything looks fuzzy and is hard to read. turning on Clear Type helps a bit, but not much

    - most annoying ... fonts have changed inside applications ... e.g. outlook templates. took me a while to find and fix them

    - web browsing is noticeably slower, particularly when scrolling down a web page using the window slider ... the rendering of the screen is sluggish ... probably related to the stupid font issue

Have just received emails from the computer guys at work: ie Don't download IE7! Because they don't support it and it creates problems!

There is no cure for leftism. Its infestation of the host mostly diminishes with age except in the most rabid of specimens.

Particularly galling to the great unwashed would be the sub-head "get caught speeding" half way down the page. And you don't even need Quicktime to read

    I have a question for the PC-clown-bots-macintent-dross-unwashed

When opening a web page on a PC, does a mac screenshot turn into a nasty thing that looks like it was created with Corel Draw 1.0 or icons that Andrew could draw?

Of course, real Mac devotees use iCab or at least have it on their desktop for show. It's been in beta form for about 10 years and is maturing slowly. Its exclusive status is confirmed by its not even being mentioned in the Safari article.

    DJ

PS This post was written using iCab. I also have Safari, Firefox and Opera - incidentally they all have tabs.
...I don't want to go among mad people Alice remarked, "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: we're all mad here. I am mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat ,"or you wouldn't have come here."

ahem ... Surely it's possible to be a Mac devotee and not have iCab as described? I have a friend who has only just downloaded it :sheez:

Although I already know the answer to this question may I enquire as to the benefits of iCab. It doesn't accurately render http://www.sceneonline.com.au/phpBB2/ whereas as Safari and Firefox do a superb job. Q.
