Remarkable performances

Raymond Song put in an excellent performance. 6/11 in that field is really quite something. His four losses were to players rated more than 300 points higher. His two draws were to players rated more than 200 points higher. Performance rating was around 2320. I cannot understand the people that would make a kid like Raymond wait another two years to play in a tournament of this calibre.

I make Moulthun's performance rating around 2306, despite the fact that he played Song and Obst who are both probably under-rated.

I think Song will pick up about 50 FIDE rating points, and Ly about 30.

Since it began before the January ratings were released, I believe the Obtober ratings are used.

FIDE has always used the ratings in effect at the time the event started. As such the October FIDE ratings would be used.

As an example if you check out Topalov's January rating calculations on the FIDE website you will see that his world Championship results from San Luis were calculated based on his July rating of 2788 because the event started prior to the release of the October FIDE ratings on 27/9/2006.

I used the option in Swiss Perfect to use the FIDE 350 rule so theoretically that shouldnt be an issue, however as you noted Swiss Perfect does not allow multiple K factors so I was left with no choice but to choose one.
I used a K of 10 because for those that know the FIDE K factor rules they could easily multiple the points by either 1.5 or 2.5 for K's of 15 or 25 respectively.
